The main highway that provides access to Emerald Island Resort is the freeway I-4. From there, you can reach the Emerald Island Resort area in two different ways, an easy way via Osceola Parkway that avoids all the busy traffic and via US highway 192 which gets quite busy at times. We will only talk about the preferred route here which is via Osceola Parkway. Also, these directions given here are to the Emerald Island Resort ​clubhouse located at 2751 Emerald Island Blvd., Kissimmee, FL 34747. Driving from Orlando International Airport (MCO) to Emerald Island Resort

This airport is located at One Airport Boulevard, Orlando, FL 32827.
Driving distance to Emerald Island Resort is about 27 miles and takes about 40 minutes.

1. From the airport terminal building, follow signs to the North Exits
2. Exit the airport at West Exit 1B to FL-528 "Bee Line Expressway" West
3. Drive for 10.5 miles on FL-528 West (Toll Road, You will pay two tolls for $1.00 each)
4. Merge on to the I-4 West via the exit on the left heading towards Tampa / Disney World
5. Take Exit 65 Osceola Parkway West toward the Animal Kingdom - Drive 4.9 miles by following the signs for the Animal Kingdom initially and then Animal Kingdom Lodge later. Stay in the left lane.
6. Take left on Sherberth Road. It is a narrow road. - Drive 1.4 miles.
7. Turn right on to US 192 West - Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway. Stay in left lane. - Drive 0.5 miles
8. Take the first left on to Formosa Gardens Blvd. - Drive 0.9 miles
9. Turn right on to Funie Steed Road/Oak Island Road. - Drive 0.6 miles
10. Turn left into Emerald Island Resort after an underpass (There is no street sign at that point). There is a colonnade and fountain with dolphins at the entrance. Now you are at Emerald Island Resort.
11. Continue on Emerald Island Blvd and pass the guard house. Club House is located on the left side of the (second set of) dolphin fountains.

Access Emerald Island Resort via Train

Access Emerald Island Resort, Kissimmee via Amtrak Station at Sanford, Florida

The Sanford station, SFA (served only by Auto Train) is about 50 miles (an hour drive) to Emerald Island Resort, Kissimmee. This is an unstaffed station with an enclosed waiting area. Hertz has rental car service at this station. You will need to reserve your car in advance for this location. Call Hertz on arrival and a shuttle will pick you up from the station. If you need to go to any other destination or another rental car counter, please call for a taxi.

1. Sanford Amtrak station is located at 600 South Persimmon Avenue, Sanford, FL 32771
2. The Auto Train station in Sanford is conveniently located for easy driving access to many popular central and coastal Florida locations including Emerald Island Resort. No other trains serve this station. Only passengers with automobiles (including vans) or motorcycles may travel on Auto Train.
3. The Auto Train transports you and your car (or your van, motorcycle, SUV, small boat, jet-ski or other recreational vehicles) nonstop from the Washington, DC area to sunny Florida, just outside of Orlando. This is the best way to drive I-95. And remember, you can pack your car as if it were your suitcase. Your car, your stuff and you can all travel for the same price. You cannot access your car while it is in transit, so please pack what you need in a carry-on.

Access Emerald Island Resort, Kissimmee via Amtrak Station at Orlando, Florida

The Orlando station, ORL (served by the Silver Service/Palmetto line) is about 25 miles (a 35-minute drive) to Emerald Island Resort Kissimmee. Though not the closest to Emerald Island Resort, this station is recommended as you can take the I4 West and continue to follow step #5 of directions from MCO to reach Emerald Island Resort.

1. Orlando Amtrak station is located at 1400 Sligh Blvd., Orlando, FL 3280
2. This is a fully staffed station with an enclosed waiting area. Hertz has rental car service at this station. You will need to reserve your car in advance for this location. Call Hertz on arrival and a shuttle will pick you up from the station. Alternatively, you can take a taxi from the on-site taxi stand to the Hertz office and get reimbursed up to $22 for the taxi fare.

The Kissimmee station, KIS (served by the Silver Service/Palmetto line) is about 17 miles (a 30-minute drive) to Emerald Island Resort Kissimmee.
