Emerald Island Resort is one of the closest resorts to Disney. That is why we are able to publish the distances below as opposed to saying, "we are minutes from Disney". Many first-time visitors to Orlando area do not understand the traffic patterns during the busy morning and late evening hours. The last thing you want to do during your vacation stay is to drive 15-20 miles to reach your vacation home after a busy day at parks. Please understand that it takes almost an hour in Orlando area if you have to drive 15-20 miles. Wouldn't you rather spend that extra hour in the theme parks with Mickey, Minnie and their friends than on the roads?
